In any case, I keep fantasizing about having an entire week off with nowhere to go. Here's what I would do:
READ. And obsess over having a tent in which to read.

ORGANIZE MY CLOSET. I started last month by getting rid of bags & bags of things, but still, my closet needs serious help. I can't find the running pants I bought last week, for instance. It's a dire situation in there.

COOK! And freeze soups like this for future lunches.
PLAY SCRAMBLE WITH FRIENDS TILL I KEELED OVER. I'm hooked. My name is "clairekiefer." Find me if you wanna play!
So . . . what would you do with a week off?

I usually waste my time off and do nada! We actually get Monday off so if it's warm, I'm going to try to take the pup somewhere fun :)
So what's the deal with the SoCal trip? I've been told about it a few times, but I want in on the action lol! I'm a huge Angels fan and I'd love to meet up with you ladies!
Geez...Every day I get off I feel like I should take full advantage of.
I hate just sitting home on vacation.
At the same time it's nice to have a few days here and there to do nothing but catch up on things.
Look at all those beautiful shoes! I would probably go to the library and read 6 chapters. Then I would go to the movies. Then I would do a touristy thing in my town I have never done, then cook, then visit a friend I haven't seen in a while. Cute post! Who wouldn't love a tee pee in their house?
this all sounds dreamy. i would LOVE to organize my closet, but mostly i would like to eat out and not clean up and lounge by a pool with a stack of magazines. love and miss you!
I like your plans. Wow! Four day weekend. That's awesome!
wah! these are such good ideas! i would LOVE to have a week off, but it is nearly impossible for me to even take ONE DAY OFF. SO ANNOYING! however, i have a monday off at the end of the month, and i cannot wait. cannot wait!
p.s. must check into this scramble thing. the only game i enjoy is scrabble (literally that is the ONLY game i like), but maybe i should give scramble a try!
LOVE your reading tent! My husband took one look at it and said "is that for kids?" Heck no, it's for adults which makes it that much better!
I want that tent! Actually, I can't wait til the boys are older, I'm definitely building them a teepee. If I had a week off, I'd do nothing but play with my boys and read. And sneak in a pedicure.
that soup looks delicious!!!
i tried organizing my closet and was proud that i got rid of a bunch of things... but know that i kept way more than i let go of. lol
i would get a pedicure/massage and def. thrift. that's pretty much what i do on any free day :) catching a matinee would be lovely as well. But i would give up everything to go to wichita falls to see my family for sure if i had a free week off :)
xoxoxo
Closet organizing is one of my all time favorite past times. Perhaps this makes me a bit of a loser but oh well ;)
And reading in a tent with white lights? That sounds heavenly.
Jax- yes, best name ever!!!! I know your little Jax is way cool and I am thinking Tiny's future boyfriend will be pretty stellar too :)
Sounds like my kind of stay-cation! My coworker was telling me about that game Scramble with Friends! I'll add you when I get it on my phone!
I love the idea of a stay cation. I would do a lot of reading, organise my craft space, write letters, watch a whole heap of movies and tv shows and just relax.
I hope you are able to do all the items you listed here. A tent by the way would be fabulous.
P.S. Any San Francisco tips would be great.
glad you're finally playing scramble. i don't even care about words with friends anymore.
OMG you just kicked my bum in scramble! :) haha I just signed up late last night because of your text :) It's totally addicting. Right now I suck at it because it's new - but I'm going to get better so you better watch out :) lol I'm sitting here at work and I don't want to do anything but play! :) Look what you did to me! haha
As you can see I'm completely loving my iphone! Can't wait to FaceTime with you and Milo & Jude! :)
I'm completely envious of your upcoming four day weekend! My boss is out of the office on vacation until Wed so it's kinda like a vacation even if I have to show up to work ;) I wish I had Monday off though :(
That tent looks so cozy. It reminds me of my favourite scene in "The Holiday" when Jude Law & Cameron Diaz are in the tent with his daughters. SO sweet! I know you're not a movie person - but that really is a great movie! :)
And watching movies and catching up on my dvr is something I would do with a week off! :)
Enjoy your long weekend sweet girl! I love you! xo
That tent looks incredibly cozy and welcoming!!
I had a week off at the start of year and I spent it reading and cooking. It was really nice but at the end I felt a little lonely but I wouldn't complain.
I'd definitely read and write and lounge about on the couch in my sweats! Soup-making sounds like a good idea too...
Enjoy that 4-day weekend! I'm jealous.
I hope you enjoyed your 4-day weekend! Every weekend is a 4-day weekend for me. But I never take a full week off of work, which makes me appreciate my 4-day weekends.
I think I'd definitely....assuming I did not have my babe.....get a mani/pedi/massage. And then sit out by a pool, with music, a book and lots o refreshing drinks. Of the adult variety. And if money wasn't an option....I'd do all that is BALI!!!! lol.
I would just die for that reading tent! And I clearly need to get on the scramble bandwagon, it looks fun!
Catch up on movies and tv shows. Read books and sleep in!! I need to organize my closet too!
